a note on racism: somehow, many people have confused the meanings of "anti-racist" and "anti-White". this is how we end up with people suggesting "you can't write about noodles if you're a white person" and earnestly claiming that they aren't the racist ones.

a note on afghanistan: of course everything failed. Ashraf Ghani fled in the middle of the night, in what i can only assume was part of a secret negotiated arrangement. the Panic is fading as people get tired of yelling at the airport. now we shall see the measure of the Taliban.


No person under the age of nine may publicly identify as "transgender".

I was recently at a political event, where the question was asked "My daughter is in first grade and is transgender. How will you protect her?" I dispute the premise of the question.
